This method for the determination of modulus of subgrade reaction of the soil in place generally known as K-value of the subgrade, for evaluation of strength of subgrade for roads, runway pavements and raft foundations. The set up consist of Bearing plates of 75cm dia, 60cm dia, 45cm dia and 30cm dia X 25mm thick, Loading attachment with ball and socket joint, Hydraulic or Screw Jack of 150 KN Capacity, Calibrated Proving ring of 150 KN with dial gauge, Digital Dial gauge of 0.001mm x 12.7mm travel ,Datum bar of 5 meter length, Jack pads. Supplied without reaction beam. On site arrangement for Reaction Beam or Truss or Truck or Trailer
