Another equipment in the general lab section is the magnetic stirrer. As the very name implies, this equipment stirs the bar by employing a rotating magnetic field. In comparison to any other stirring device, a stirring bar is convenient to clean and sterilize. This equipment comprises hot plate and to knobs. The purpose of the knobs is to control stirring rate and heating. The liquid solution thus can be quickly stirred by this stirrer. The hot plate enables the heating of sample while the liquid sample is stirred. The magnetic stirrer can be used in different labs for the mixing of different liquid samples.
